Con un diámetro de al menos dos kilómetros, esta laguna es un lugar deportivo y cultural para el entretenimiento de toda la familia. En el sitio se organizan compe- tencias acuáticas como canotaje, maratones, triat- lones y carreras en bicicleta. Se puede pasar una tarde agradable caminando y disfrutan- do antojitos típicos, como los cocos helados con chile y limón. // With a diameter of at least 2 miles, this artificial lake is a cultural and recreational hotspot. You can check out competitions in canoe- ing, running and biking, or spend a pleasant afternoon walking around and enjoying local snacks such as coconut ice cream.

El deporte más popular en esta ciudad es el béisbol, y al equipo local se les conoce como Los Yaquis de Ciudad Obregón. Este año ganaron por primera vez la Serie del Caribe 2011 en Puerto Rico representando a México y dándole su sexto triunfo al vencer a los venezolanos Caribes de Anzoátegui en un resultado combinado. // Hands down, the most popular sport in this town is baseball, and the local team is known as Ciudad Obregon Yaquis. This year, they won the 2011 title in the Caribbean Series in Puerto Rico, representing Mexico and defeating the Venezuelan Anzotegui Caribes.
